With 96.3% of SVIE graduates finding employment within six months of completing their studies, the field offers significant career opportunities. Additionally, graduates can provide home healthcare services to patients with mobility issues.

Students specialize by using state-of-the-art medical equipment in laboratories that simulate real hospital rooms. They also gain expertise in cutting-edge fields such as blood collection and venipuncture with specialized mannequins.
Moreover, students of the Surgical Nursing School participate in specialized seminars led by experienced healthcare professionals, engage in actions organized in collaboration with scientific societies and NGOs like the Hellenic Diabetes Association, Doctors of the World, Elpida, and Alma Zois, among others. Additionally, students can earn specialized certification in "Maternity Care, Pregnancy, Labor & Postpartum" with the ACTA QTL Expert seal from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki's tech transfer office, as well as the ERC-Basic Life Support certification, which are in high demand in the healthcare sector. Furthermore, students have the opportunity to complete their internship abroad through the Erasmus+ program.
