We are turning a new page in European-standard facilities in the heart of Athens.
The new building of IEK SBIE, with fully renovated classrooms and laboratories, combines high aesthetics and modern technological capabilities, with the aim of providing high-level education.
History

1966 – 1967
We are establishing the Health Professions in Greece.
1974
We are training more than 1,500 foreign students from Libya and Arab countries.
1977
We are establishing a Technical Vocational High School (TEL).
1979
We are establishing Technical Vocational Schools (TES).
1981
We are pioneering Medical Informatics and introducing the subject of Informatics in all specialties, in collaboration with the European Union.
1990
We are initiating the implementation of European Programs and collaborations.
1992
As part of the European STRIDE program, we contribute to the Telemedicine program in collaboration with the Universities of Athens and Ioannina, as well as the Technical Universities of Athens and Patras.
1993
We are establishing an Institute of Vocational Training (IEK).
1996
We are launching the Career Guidance and Counseling Office for students and graduates.
1999
We are establishing Technical Vocational Education Centers (TEE).
2000
We are establishing a Vocational Training Center (KEK).
2002
We exclusively offer the optics program with a professional practice license in collaboration with the Italian institute ENRICO FERMI.
2006
We become the only Vocational Training Institute (IEK) that systematically implements a student and trainer exchange program within the framework of Erasmus+.
2010
We are expanding our exclusive collaboration with the ENRICO FERMI institute in the field of dental technology.
2015- 2017
We are joining forces with KEDKE offering a total of 150 scholarships to socially vulnerable groups.
2015
We are signing an exclusive collaboration with the Histology & Embryology Laboratory of the Medical School of the University of Athens.
2015
The vocational makeup department of IEK SBIE is entering into an exclusive collaboration with the Master's Program in 'International Medicine - Health Crisis Management' at the Medical School of Athens.
2018
We are turning a new page in European-standard facilities in the heart of Athens.
2019
We are creating the first Vegan Culinary School in Europe, signed by the top vegan chef Nikos Gaitanos.
2020
Strategic Partnership between SBIE & ACTA: Two major educational organizations join forces for the benefit of students.
2021
We are inaugurating the new state-of-the-art facilities in the heart of Patras, with the aim of transforming the landscape of Vocational Education across Western Greece.
