By submitting the registration form, you accept the Terms of Use of the ΙΙΕΚ ΣΒΙΕ.

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the applicable regulatory framework, ΣΒΙΕ collects and processes personal data provided by you, as active students, prospective students, graduates, as well as partners and suppliers. ΣΒΙΕ gives due importance to the protection of your personal data and wishes to inform you with this Personal Data Protection Statement on how it handles your personal data in accordance with the current legislation.

What personal data may ΣΒΙΕ process?

Personal data includes any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (“Data Subject”); an identifiable natural person is one whose identity can be determined, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name.

ΣΒΙΕ collects personal data provided by you (the Data Subject) whenever you express interest or register for a program or seminar offered by ΣΒΙΕ. The personal data may include, but is not limited to, the following:

Data provided by cooperating Universities

Finally, ΣΒΙΕ uses “cookies,” which are small text files stored on your computer while browsing the internet, collecting standard internet log information and visitor behavior data. By using cookies, ΣΒΙΕ can see your previous activity and determine if you have visited the website before.

There is no obligation to disclose your personal data; however, if you decide not to provide your data, ΣΒΙΕ will not be able to offer its programs and services.

For what purposes may ΣΒΙΕ process your personal data?

ΣΒΙΕ processes only the personal data necessary for the purpose(s) for which it collects and uses them, exclusively for those purposes.

ΣΒΙΕ processes your personal data for:

Completing the application/expressing interest in ΣΒΙΕ’s programs/services.
Registration for ΣΒΙΕ’s programs/services.
Where required by the applicable regulatory and legislative framework, e.g., as stipulated by the Ministry of Education’s guidelines.
Promoting informational material about new ΣΒΙΕ programs/services, provided that you have given your explicit consent. Please note that you can withdraw your consent at any time, which will be effective going forward. Specifically, once we receive notice that you have withdrawn your consent, we will cease processing your data unless there is another legal basis for processing.
When necessary for the legitimate interests pursued by ΣΒΙΕ.
Who may ΣΒΙΕ disclose your personal data to?

ΣΒΙΕ does not share or disclose your personal data to third parties unless required for the purposes for which they are collected or as required or permitted by law. In any case, access to your personal data is allowed only to authorized individuals who need access to complete the purposes of data collection, use, and processing as disclosed in this statement.

The cooperating Universities with ΣΒΙΕ where you enroll as students.
The Ministry of Education
In certain cases, ΣΒΙΕ may share your personal data with various companies or service providers cooperating with it to respond to your requests or to physical or legal persons entrusted with processing, provided that you are informed in advance and we obtain your prior consent.

Retention period of your personal data

ΣΒΙΕ retains your personal data only for as long as necessary.

In providing its services or programs, ΣΒΙΕ retains your personal data for at least five (5) years from the end of your relationship with us. We may retain your data for a longer period if necessary, either due to the applicable regulatory framework or for our legitimate purposes.

After the retention period, ΣΒΙΕ may destroy, delete, encode, or anonymize your personal data.
