As a pioneer in vocational education, SBIE monitors European developments and collaborates in a network of partners – educational institutions and organizations – from the most developed EU member states, aiming to:

  • In 1990, SBIE implemented the Community Program DELTA for the training of its teachers and administrative staff.
  • From 1992 to 1995, SVIE collaborated with distinguished institutions across Europe in the PETRA program for the vocational training of young people and their integration into the workforce. The PETRA program, among other things, includes placements and student exchanges for SBIE students and graduates in educational organizations abroad, with the aim of enhancing their skills and gaining valuable experience.
  • Through the innovative STRIDE program from 1992 to 1995, SBIE trained Greek and Italian graduates of higher and post-secondary education in the applications of Telemedicine.
  • With the LINGUA program of 1995, SBIE organized internships for Italian Dental Technicians in its self-sufficient laboratories.
  • From 1994 to 2002, SVIE, through the SESAM / PLATO program, organized annual two-month internships for Dutch nurses in Greece.
  • From 1996 to the present, SVIE has consistently participated in the Leonardo Da Vinci program, which focuses on vocational education and training. As part of Leonardo, SVIE represents Greece:

  1. In the TORCH program which aims at guiding young people towards healthcare and social care services, and developing specific communication skills.
  2. In the CATAI – TELEMED program, aimed at training European healthcare professionals in the applications of Telemedicine.
  3. In the APOLLO program, aimed at creating a Pan-European Education Plan in Medical Informatics through open and distance learning.
  4. In the LASER program, which aims at utilizing specialized radiation devices in Medicine and Physical Therapy.
  5. In the WARISA program, aimed at acquiring skills for women who wish to reintegrate into the labor market.
  6. In the EUROCOM program, focused on the exchange of teachers between educational institutions from 8 European countries (Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, the Netherlands, Germany, Latvia, Hungary). Between 2011 and 2013, SVIE placed 34 of its instructors in organizations across these countries, while also having the honor of hosting and training the visiting professors from the program’s partner institutions in Athens.
  7. In the ERGON SKILLS program, which includes the placement of SVIE graduates in EU member states for an 8-week internship. From 2012 to the present, dozens of SVIE graduates have participated in the program and completed internships at specialized organizations in Denmark, Germany, Finland, the Netherlands, and Belgium.

Through its extensive international activities, SVIE demonstrates the quality of its educational services, which is recognized both in Greece and abroad.

SBIE students broaden their horizons and knowledge, as the program can support their choices for studies, internships, apprenticeships, and of course mobility in other European cities!

The program’s activities support the professional development of educators and employees of SBIE, offering the opportunity to explore new teaching methods from other professionals across Europe!

SBIE, as an educational organization through Erasmus+, creates new international partnerships, expanding opportunities for its students and professors, thereby actively contributing to the creation of job positions!

With the opportunities of the program for the professional integration of SBIE students, 1 in 3 trainees advances their career in the European organization where they were trained!

Our students gain greater confidence about traveling abroad for studies, training, or practical work, while other organizations, companies, and employers worldwide express admiration for this international experience!

Each SBIE student completes their studies through Erasmus+, having developed digital skills and used new communication technologies, with many cases offering opportunities for learning foreign languages!
