Our fields
Curriculum Content
The teaching of courses for all specialties includes exclusively specialized subjects, both theoretical and practical, as well as internships. The subject matter of each specialty starts from basic concepts and progresses to specialized topics, enabling all students, regardless of their previous direction or focus, to be adequately trained and achieve high performance!
Students are evaluated through written Progress Exams in the middle of the semester and Final Exams at the end of each semester, following the model of Higher Technological Education. In the fifth semester, students undertake a six-month internship in public and private workplaces of their choice.
After completing the five semesters, graduates of the IEK receive a Professional Training Certificate, which allows them to participate in the Certification Exams for their specialty.
Ministry of Education Certification Exams
These are state exams, common for all graduates of public and private Vocational Training Institutes (IEK), conducted by the EOPPEP (NATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR CERTIFICATION OF QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL ORIENTATION).
Students are examined on their theoretical and practical knowledge, according to the material taught during the 5 semesters.
State Diploma of Post-Secondary Vocational Training (Level 5)
Completion of studies in one of the specialties at SBIE and successful participation in the Certification Exams of EOPPEP leads to the acquisition of a state-recognized Vocational Training Diploma – Level 5, according to the National Qualifications Framework (Law 4186/2013). This diploma is recognized throughout the European Union, expanding the prospects for practicing the profession and continuing studies.
The Vocational Training Diploma from IEK is a required qualification for appointment in the Public Sector (Presidential Decree 50, Government Gazette 39/ 5-3-01) for positions announced in various specialties.
