Welcome Day at SVIE: A Bright Celebration for New Students!
On Friday, October 8th, the SVIE Educational Organization warmly welcomed its new students at its Athens campus. Together with esteemed professionals, they set the foundations for an unforgettable academic year — one filled with rich educational programs, numerous activities, events, seminars, and much more!
During the special event organized by the school, students had the opportunity to meet professionals from various fields, visit the laboratories, watch live demonstrations of techniques they will apply during their studies, and talk with distinguished experts about career prospects in the job market.
SVIE’s close collaborators welcomed the new students inside the school’s laboratories, offering them a glimpse of what they will experience throughout the new academic year. Meanwhile, students were briefed by the Heads of Health Sciences on professional opportunities and current developments in their field. Among the guests were:
- Ms. Ioanna Tassiopoulou, Deputy Director of the Nursing Service at Attikon University General Hospital
- Mr. Petros Koutsoukos, Radiology Technologist at “Evangelismos” Hospital
- Ms. Rania Kordanouli, Microbiologist
- Ms. Eleni Tsoureka, Public Health Supervisor
- Mr. Ioannis Panagiotopoulos, Physiotherapist and former President of the Scientific Section of Geriatric
- Physiotherapy of the Panhellenic Physiotherapists’ Association
In the Aesthetics Department, students learned about the field’s dynamic growth and the department’s initiatives from Ms. Athanasia Gkatsiou, Head of Aesthetics and Podiatry. They also discovered the secrets of professional makeup from makeup artist Ms. Natalia Tsimidaki and new beauty techniques from professors Ms. Nikoletta Gouvali and Ms. Georgia Grammatikopoulou.
In the Early Childhood Education Department, kindergarten teachers Ms. Ismini Verykokkou and Ms. Maria Diga introduced students to the magical world of children, while occupational therapist Ms. Eliziana Christodoulou explained how occupational therapy can transform a child’s life. In the Sports Department, coach Mr. Evangelos Giannopoulos shared valuable advice and experiences with students, and the event was honored by the presence of Mr. Vasilis Sambrakos, distinguished journalist and Communication Advisor of SVIE’s Sports Training Department.
In the Tourism Department, Mr. Loffreda Gianluigi spoke about the art of great hospitality. In Dental Technology, Mr. Kostas Apostolatos and Mr. Charalampos Stefas emphasized the importance of a bright smile, while Ms. Maria Nikitopoulou and Ms. Eirini Zoulia from the Optics–Optometry Department discussed the importance of proper eye care. Finally, Mr. Ioannis Allagiannis and Mr. Stefanos Evaggelidis highlighted the importance of effective management across all areas of Business Administration.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the scientific collaborators who eagerly answered students’ questions and spoke warmly about the school — its 60-year legacy of excellence and the high standard of education it provides — explaining why SVIE remains a guarantee of success for its graduates in the job market.
The event was full of pleasant surprises! New students received generous gifts offered by SVIE’s partners, including PEI.FA.SYN, the Mitsis Hotels Group, and cosmetic brands Yellow Rose, Juliette Armand, Kryolan, Elbeauty, and BlueSky.
