Welcome Day at SBIE: A vibrant event for the new students!

The educational institution SΒΙΕ welcomed new students on Friday, October 4th, at its campuses in Athens and Patras, where they, alongside renowned professionals, laid the foundation for an unforgettable academic year filled with a rich educational program, numerous activities, events, seminars, and much more!

At the special event organized by the School, students had the opportunity to meet professionals from various fields, visit the laboratories, see live techniques they will apply during their studies, and engage in conversations with esteemed experts about career prospects in the job market.

The new students were welcomed by SΒΙΕ’s close collaborators, who presented a part of what will take place in the laboratories throughout the upcoming academic year. At the same time, students were informed by the heads of the Health sector specialties about the professional opportunities and current developments relevant to them. Among the guests were Mrs. Ioanna Tasiopoulou, Deputy Director of the Nursing Service at the University General Hospital of ATTIKON, Mr. Petros Koutsoukos, Radiology-Technologist at the "EVAGGELISMOS" hospital, Mrs. Georgia Mavroeidi, chemist, Mrs. Eleni Tsourelka, public health supervisor, and Mr. Ioannis Panagiotopoulos, physiotherapist and former president of the scientific section of geriatric physiotherapy at the Greek Physiotherapy Society (PSF).

In the field of Aesthetics, students had the chance to enjoy live demonstrations of professional makeup secrets from makeup artist Mrs. Natalia Tsimidaki and learn about the department’s activities from the Head of Aesthetics and Podiatry, Mrs. Christina Lampropoulou, and aesthetician Mrs. Athanasia Gatsiou. In the Culinary and Pastry Arts sector, students enjoyed unique flavors prepared by pastry chef Ilias Thomaiadis and his team. In the field of Information Technology, students were informed about the latest trends in Gaming by Game Developer Mr. Alexandros Siskos. In the Pedagogical sector, teachers Ms. Ismini Verikokkou and Ms. Rania Kostelou introduced students to the magical world of children, while occupational therapist Ms. Eliziana Christodoulou discussed how occupational therapy changes the life of a child. In the Sports sector, coach Mr. Evangelos Giannopoulos shared tips and experiences with students.

In the Tourism sector, Ms. Klairy Protogerou spoke about the secrets of good hospitality, while in the Dental Technology sector, Mr. Kostas Apostolatos and Mr. Charalambos Stefanos emphasized the importance of a bright smile. From the Optics – Optometry department, Ms. Maria Nikitopoulou and Ms. Irini Zoulia explained the significance of proper eye care. Finally, Ms. Maria Stoyannou, Naval Officer and Academic Head of the Companion Animal Care department, discussed the value of professions like Veterinary Assistant and Pet Groomer, while Mr. Sotiris Koutsouradis, Career and Professional Guidance Consultant, explained how success comes through the right career choice.

We thank all the scientific collaborators who kindly answered all the students' questions and expressed warm words for the school, praising its level of education that has been offered for 60 years and explaining why SΒΙΕ is a guarantee for the success of its graduates in the job market.

The event also featured surprises! Among the new students, rich prizes were raffled off, donated by companies and collaborators of SΒΙΕ, such as PEI.FA.SYN, the cosmetic companies Yellow Rose and Juliette Armand, as well as gifts arranged by the school administration.

The grand prize was presented to the evening's main winner by top journalist and communication consultant for SΒΙΕ’s Coaching sector, Mr. Vasilis Samprakos.
