SVIE at the 14th Regional Growth Conference in Patras
The challenges and emerging opportunities shaping the fields of education and employment were highlighted during the panel discussion titled “New Opportunities, New Perspectives in Education”, held as part of the 14th Regional Growth Conference, one of Greece’s most important forums for dialogue on development, innovation, and education.
Among the speakers was Mr. Nikos Kastrinakis, General Director and Owner of SVIE School of Higher Vocational Education and Training (SAEK SVIE), who addressed the significant changes brought about by the new era in vocational education. He placed particular emphasis on the need for meaningful alignment between education and the real needs of the labor market.
During his presentation, Mr. Kastrinakis highlighted the increasing demands of modern professions, the importance of specialization and hands-on training, and the necessity for students to gain meaningful professional experience while still studying. He also stressed the importance of lifelong learning and continuous skills development, as technology and artificial intelligence are rapidly transforming the workplace and creating new requirements for competencies and professional training.
Special reference was made to the importance of partnerships between educational institutions and businesses, enabling students to gain direct exposure to their field of study and enhancing their career prospects.
Within this context, the philosophy of SVIE was also presented. Through a major investment in the heart of Patras, SVIE has created an educational ecosystem that combines state-of-the-art educational facilities with the largest network of partner companies, ensuring that the overall student experience meets the demands of the future job market.
At the same time, Mr. Kastrinakis made an announcement that represents a major milestone for the organization. SVIE Educational Organization is ready to take its next significant step in post-secondary education with the establishment of Next Generation College, which will offer undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs in collaboration with public British universities.
The College will welcome its first students this coming September and will provide academic programs in high-demand fields such as Health Sciences, Psychology, Sports Studies, Education, Tourism, and more.
SVIE’s participation in the leading development conference of Western Greece reaffirms its commitment to remaining at the forefront of educational and developmental advancements, actively contributing to the preparation of professionals equipped with modern knowledge, skills, and competencies.
