Key Insights from the H.A.R.M.O.N.Y. Project
What do European SMEs really need to support mental health at work?
The H.A.R.M.O.N.Y. project (Erasmus+ Alliances for Innovation) has just published Deliverable D2.2 – a transnational mapping report analyzing mental health needs in the workplace in eight European countries.
The findings are clear:
· Only 15% of SMEs have a formal mental health program.
· Stress and burnout are the most common challenges in the workplace.
· Employers want practical leadership tools, not theory.
· Blended learning (face-to-face + digital) is the preferred form of training.
· There is strong interest in digital solutions—but concerns remain about data privacy and effectiveness.
The survey also highlights a gap between education systems and the reality of SMEs, underscoring the need to better align training provision with workplace needs.
These statistics will directly inform:
✔ 8 new training modules for SMEs
✔ An AI-based predictive support framework
✔ A European digital learning platform
